Electronic Poker is a beloved game that usually will be played in casinos all over the world, or in your house on your PC, using a net connection. The regulations are very straightforward and involve the player trying to achieve the highest mixture of cards possible in order to acquire money. In this respect it is much the same as a classic game of poker, without the line of contact with any other players. Of course, methods used in a physical game of poker, like bluffing, will be irrelevant in Video Poker.
The game of Video Poker begins when the player inserts credits (whether it’s tokens, tickets or cash) into the machine and presses the draw button. A hand of five cards will be "given out" on the video screen.
The Electronic Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and bettors will need to now pick which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the bettor wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they want, whether it is all or none.
After the bettor has decided on which cards he wishes to retain, the player will then press ‘draw’, at which point any new cards are needed they will be handed out. The round is now finished, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands printed on the payout schedule.
Normally, the lowest succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money increasing for each better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It is obvious that the payout schedule can change from game to game, so that experienced bettors are able to choose the most profitable game each and every instance.
After the initial round has played out, the player can either choose to remain on in an attempt to increase their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that they may have won. Additionally, some styles of the game allow the gambler an opportunity to double their wins, in which instance a further round is played. There are also differences among individual machines, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other differing characteristics to increase playability.
